Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

It's always fun to find healthy recipes to keep your eating clean!  This recipe uses honey instead of table sugar, whole wheat flour, and ground flax, giving you muffins that are packed with fiber, are nutrient rich, AND satisfy your chocolate craving!  Delish!

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

2 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. ground flax (optional)
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
3 ripe bananas
2 eggs
1/3 c. agave nectar (or honey)
1/3 c. canola oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 to 1 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Whisk together flour through nutmeg in a 2 quart bowl. Mix bananas through vanilla in blender.  Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix just until moist.  Fold in chocolate chips. Fill greased muffin tins about 2/3 full.  Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.  If you bake mini-muffins bake 12 minutes.

ENJOY!
